About Mobihubs

A Mobihub is a clearly recognisable place in your neighbourhood where different means of transport come together. A place where you can easily switch between public transport, shared bikes, e-scooters, car-sharing, and more, all in one location. How convenient! You go to a nearby Mobihub and pick the option that suits your trip best. Whether you need a bus, a shared bike, or an electric scooter for the last stretch to your destination, they come together at a Mobihub.

More than just transport

Mobihubs aren’t just about vehicles. They’re meant to be welcoming, accessible places that add value to the neighbourhood. Depending on the location and size, you might also find:

  • Clear information displays with public transport schedules
  • Bike repair services
  • Comfortable waiting areas
  • Parcel lockers
  • Drinking water facilities
  • Digital tools and apps (MaaS) to plan and pay for your journey

Every Mobihub is tailored to its local context therefore a hub near a train station will look different from one in a residential area.

Why Mobihubs?

Mobihubs are part of Good Move, the Brussels-Capital Region’s mobility plan for 2020–2030. The plan aims to make getting around Brussels easier, greener, and more inclusive. One of its key goals is to bring mobility services closer to people, right at neighbourhood level.

By bundling different means of transport in one visible, easy-to-reach spot, Mobihubs encourage people to combine different modes of transport and maybe leave the car at home a little more often. That’s what we call a sustainable modal shift, which is better for the city, the climate, and your daily commute.

A collaborative effort

The Mobihub vision was developed by Brussels Mobility, with input from residents, local businesses, transport operators, mobility experts and urban planners. It’s a shared project that aims to make Brussels a more connected and more liveable city one hub at a time.
